Dissertation Grants Application

As part of its educational and research activities, UCCONNECT is sponsoring a new call for dissertation research grants. This call is open to all the campuses in the UCCONNECT consortium: UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, UCLA, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, and CSPU Pomona. UCCONNECT’s mission is to promote economic competitiveness by enhancing surface transportation. Dissertation proposals should thus be aligned with this goal.  Doctoral research may be in any discipline and suitably-scoped multidisciplinary topics are encouraged.

To be eligible, doctoral students must be enrolled in any department or program in the aforementioned campuses. Applicants must also have advanced to candidacy for the Ph.D. degree prior to the application deadline (January 30, 2016) and must be carrying out dissertation research on transportation topics tied to UCCONNECT’s mission. US citizenship or permanent residency is not a requirement for this award. However, previous recipients of a UCCONNECT dissertation grant are not eligible under this call.
