UCCONNECT and the Division of Transportation Planning at Caltrans partnered during 2015/16 to organize a workshop series that brought together faculty and researchers within the UCCONNECT consortium and various other stakeholders to explore topics of high relevance in Transportation Planning. The workshops highlighted research sponsored by the center or conducted by faculty and researchers within the consortium.
Each workshop lasted approximately 1 to 2 hours, depending on the number of speakers. Up to three experts on a select topic presented relevant research findings to an audience comprised of Caltrans' personnel as well as other interested agencies. Each presentation was followed by open questions and discussion where attendees and online viewers had a chance to directly interact with the presenters.
The workshops were held at Caltrans’ headquarters (1120 N. Street, Caltrans Boardroom Rm. 0100, Sacramento, CA 95814). UCCONNECT recorded the presentations and uploaded de videos for any interested viewers who couldn't attend the events.
